Flash-Safe Protections
Built-in safeguards designed to reduce risk during remote ECU programming and flashing operations. Because when you're writing to a vehicle's computer, there's no room for dropped connections.
Heartbeat Monitoring
Continuous connection health checks with configurable thresholds. Know the instant your connection quality changes.
Auto-Pause
Automatically pauses USB data transfer when connection quality drops below safe thresholds. Resumes when stable.
Session Recovery
If a disconnection occurs, Flash-Safe attempts to restore the session and resume from where it left off.
Pre-Flash Check
Before any flashing operation, Flash-Safe verifies connection stability, latency, and bandwidth meet minimum requirements.
How Flash-Safe Works
Pre-Flight Check
Before entering Flash-Safe mode, the system tests connection latency, jitter, packet loss, and available bandwidth. If conditions don't meet thresholds, you'll receive a warning.
Continuous Monitoring
During the session, a heartbeat signal runs in parallel with USB data. The system monitors round-trip time, packet delivery ratio, and throughput in real time.
Automatic Response
If connection quality degrades, Flash-Safe can pause USB data transfer, buffer pending writes, and alert the operator. No data is sent over an unstable link.
Recovery & Resume
When the connection stabilizes, Flash-Safe resumes the transfer from the last confirmed point. If the session is lost entirely, it provides recovery guidance.
Important Disclaimer
Flash-Safe protections are designed to reduce risk, not eliminate it. Remote ECU programming inherently carries risk due to network variability. Always ensure you have a stable connection before beginning critical operations. IgniteRemote is not responsible for damage resulting from interrupted programming sessions. USB programming compatibility depends on device profiles and network quality.
